The Aston Martin DB5
Sleek curves, a roaring engine, and an allure that transcends generations—the Aston Martin DB5 stands as an icon in the world of automobiles.
Immortalized by its association with the world’s most famous spy, James Bond, the Aston Martin DB5 transcended from a mere vehicle to a cultural phenomenon. Its presence on the silver screen began in 1964 featuring in ‘Goldfinger’ and has since propelled it into the hearts of aficionados and enthusiasts, making it a symbol of sophistication, innovation, and aspiration.
Originally produced from 1963 to 1965, the DB5 is of course an evolution of the final series of the DB4. The all aluminium engine, enlarged engine from 3.7L to 4.0L and a new ZF five-speed gearbox all enhanced the drivability of the latest David Brown unit.
65 high spec DB5 Vantages were ever built and a further 123 convertible DB5s rolled off the production line until 1965.
