C Type Replica #5 - Completed - March 2008 - Sydney

C Type #5 was built as a 1953 Semi lightweight car with a few extras for historic racing and rallying. We have fitted a full braided fuel line, braided brake lines and four point harnesses to the car.

The engine for this is a correct 3.4 unit that has been taken out to 3.8 litres and we have fitted forged Venolia pistons and Total Seal gapless rings. The entire bottom end including new aluminum flywheel and diaphram clutch have been balanced. The cylinder head has been completely reworked with the parts modified using a flow bench, new 1 7/8 inlet and 1 5/8 exhaust valves with uprated springs, titanium retainers and lightweight buckets have been fitted. The cams are fairly big, 420 thou lift, 270 deg at 50 thou duration on inlet and 258 deg 50 thou duration on exhaust. Inlet is triple 45DCOE webers on a replica C Type inlet manifold and exhaust is handmade tubular manifolds into twin 21/4inch stainless system.
